Alternative Treatments for ADHD, Depression, and Anxiety

Dr. Dean Konopasek, chair of the Counseling and Special Education program, lead a conversation today on alternative treatments for ADHD, depression, and anxiety. His research indicates that medications are 70 to 90% effective in treating ADHD whereas alternative treatments, such as diet and herbal treatments, are relatively ineffective, but more research is needed. He also discussed a variety of somewhat effective treatments for depression and anxiety.
