As requested, here are some resources and tools that I learned about at the recent ASTE (Alaska Society for Technology in Education) conference.
- Alaska Teacher Resources ACHIEVE – access to cultural-based education resources and more
- Alaska Humanities Forum Sister School Exchange – the chance to experience different Alaskan cultures first hand
- Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC) – video conferencing consulting and matching partners for live interactive content
If you haven’t seen what you can do with Aurasma (augmented reality app), check out this video to get an idea. I attended a session where Aurasma was used to add an aura to student artwork. With the Aurasma app, we could hold our mobile device over the artwork and see the student information and/or a video of them describing the work. A great idea for your next poster session!
This year at ASTE, I co-presented iPhonography with Jeanette Renaudineau and co-presented Pitfalls and Solutions for Synchronous Mixed Delivery Classes with Lee Henrikson. I encourage you to consider presenting next year!
